Obituary of Thomas Phillip Griffin

Thomas Philip Griffin  

1946-2021 (75yrs)

Tom passed peacefully after a lengthy illness with family by his side on the 13 August 2021 in Kingston. Tom was predeceased by his first wife Mary (Watts) Griffin (2001) and second wife Linda (Udall) Griffin (2021).  He will be missed dearly by his children Tom (Aronne) Griffin, Candace (Dan) Jaenen, Kitty (Kirk) Darch, grandchildren Will, Jen, Katelyn, Breanna, Andrew, Elizabeth and Jessica and his great-grandchild Carson. He will also be missed by his stepchildren Tammy (Jeff) Duprau and Shelly (Steve) Fowler and their children Luke, Scott, Miranda, Hunter and Step great grandchildren Raelynn and Kinsley, siblings Gladys (deceased), Shirley, Frank, Margaret (deceased), Raymond, John and Sue and other extended family members including Ken and Wendy.

Tom was a dedicated member of the Canadian Forces and served for 29 years as a Medical Assistant. During his service he was awarded the medal of bravery for putting himself at risk while trying to save a life. All his children followed in his footsteps by also serving in the Canadian Forces. Tom was an active member of the Seeley’s Bay Legion and enjoyed time on the golf course, and casinos, Tom was always in the mood for a good party and regularly hosted memorable get togethers. He will be fondly remembered by his family for the wild and crazy theme parties. We also cannot forget his never-ending knack for getting lost no matter where he was going or how many times he had been there.
