Obituary of Joan Bouchard

Bouchard; M. M. Joan –

Joan passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre the age of 87. She is predeceased by her parents William Bouchard and Kathleen Shanahan and her son Richard "Ricco" Boucher. She is the beloved wife of 68 years to Pierre Boucher. Joan will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Michelle Boucher and Shannon Boucher (Dany Bourbonnais) and great-grandchildren William and Xavier Bourbonnais and Tristan Garceau. Joan is held in the hearts of her sister Maureen Hamilton, niece Kathy Hamilton and nephews Peter, John, Steve and the late Kevin Hamilton and many more extended family and friends.

Joan was a faithful Catholic and will be missed by her community. She loved singing and especially loved listening to Frank Sinatra. She was an avid story-teller and could be relied on to remember every birthday, anniversary, special dates and names. She touched many lives in her time with us and she will be terribly missed.

Cremation has taken place. There will be Liturgy of the Word at James Reid Funeral Home at a later date. Donations in Joan’s honour can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
