Seifred, Robert John
January 18, 1960 – July 7, 2021
Succumbed to cancer in his sixty-second year despite heroic efforts by KGH staff. Robert est né à Montréal et a grandi à St. Bruno, Québec. He was educated at Regiopolis-Notre Dame in Kingston as well as the University of Guelph and St. Lawrence College. He was a former employee of the Department of National Defence before joining the family business – Bayview Automotive – in Kingston. He is survived by his wife Anna Kelly, parents Mary and Ronald Seifred, and sisters Cathy Lawrynuik (Steve) of Caledon and Lisa Brooks (Mike) of Vancouver. He will be missed by many nieces; Alexandra, Alanna, Emma and Erin and nephews; Christopher, Kyle, and Thomas as well as a large extended family, including his dear grand stepchildren Deegan, Zoey and Brielle. On behalf of Rob, a special thanks to all his loyal friends and to his Braemar neighbours for their kindness over the years. His breadth of knowledge and debating style was legendary.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (392 Palace Rd.) on July 13 from 11:30-1:15pm. The funeral mass will start at 1:30pm, with a graveside service at Cataraqui Cemetery to follow.
For anyone wishing to stay for the Funeral Mass please call the James Reid Funeral Home (613-544-3411) to be added to the list of guests. Please reserve your spot by 12:30pm on Monday July 12th, as spaces are limited.
Physical distancing and wearing a mask will be mandatory for all in attendance. Due to physical distancing restrictions, the maximum capacity in the church is 75 people including family. Due to these restrictions, screening of all guests attending will take place outside prior to entering St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
In Rob’s memory, gifts are welcome to the Canadian Cancer Society.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
