Obituary of Donald William Stubbs

It is with heavy but full hearts that we announce the passing of Donald (Don) William Stubbs. He was a proud husband to Maggie, adoring dad to Tracy (Steve) and Kelly (Josh) and an extraordinary grandad to Matthew, Julia, and Sophie. He was also a beloved brother (Andy, Chris, Diane) while being the coolest uncle to a small army of cousins and second cousins.

After spending 30 years working for Brewers Retail in Toronto, Don was able to spend the last 10 years happily retired and living in Adolphustown at the lake with Maggie, their dogs and a constant stream of houseguests. 

Don spent his life immersed in music of all kinds - playing, writing and seeing 100s of live shows and concerts. He enjoyed many adventures; exploring Canada, crossing the Atlantic to visit family in England and heading south for fun in the sun. 

He will be missed and forever loved by a large family of friends and friends who are family. 

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations are sent to Martha’s Table - a local organization where Don spent the last three years volunteering.

A celebration of life will happen later in the year when we can all get together to listen to one of Don’s perfectly curated playlists, enjoy a meal and raise a glass - exactly as he would want.
