REID, John "Jack" Walker

Peacefully at the Waterford Retirement Residence after a long and full life, on Friday, May 21, 2021. Jack Reid, in his 92nd year, beloved husband of 42 years to Linda (nee McBrien) who predeceased him in 2015. Father to Karen Reid. Predeceased by his parents, John and Mary (nee McAllister) Reid. Uncle to Kristy McBrien (Tom Polsak) and their children Braden and Alyssa; Kelly McBrien and her children Kenny (Jess) and Ricky; and great great uncle to Bradley. The family extends sincere gratitude to all of Jack's caregivers and staff at the Waterford for their exemplary care provided to him during his residency there. In accordance with Jack's wishes cremation has taken place at James Reid Crematorium. The family will gather privately in the chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard on Thursday, May 27 for a service officiated by Rev. Bram Pearce. Interment of his ashes to follow at Cataraqui Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) in Jack's memory.
