Juan Andres

Obituary of Juan Andres

Juan Andres, passed peacefully after a brief stay at Kingston General Hospital.  He was predeceased in 1992 by his first wife of 21 years, Elvira Andres (nee Schlauch).
Juan was survived by his second wife of 28 years, Susanne Petri-Andres, children Alexander of Kitchener, Sandro of Czechia, Ronya of Switzerland, David of Calgary, Nancy and her husband Paul of Kingston. Beloved Opa to Emmeline, Max, Tristan and Marisa.  Also survived by his siblings, Manuel, and Angelinas of Spain, and Marcus of Switzerland.

Juan was born in Muelas del Pan, Spain on February 14, 1950.  He moved to Germany as a young man before immigrating to Canada in 1974 with his wife and young son.  He was always thankful for the opportunity Canada provided him.  He was never afraid of hard work and was determined in his pursuit of a good life for his family.  This drive resulted in his successful ownership of many small businesses in both Kitchener and Kingston.

Juan’s heart was never far away from his beloved Spain and he looked forward to many months in his home village during the summers.

Juan was enjoying his retirement when a sudden and unexpected illness took his life. During his years, he helped many, accomplished much and quietly carried his load. He left us knowing that he was in our hearts and will remain there always.
