Obituary of Jan Eric Gullberg

GULLBERG, Jan Eric

Peacefully passed away at the KHSC, Kingston General Hospital, on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at the age of 91.  Jan, beloved husband of 56 years to the late Glenda Gullberg (2015).  Loving father of Colin and his wife Jessica of Taiwan and Jeffrey and his wife Lorraine of Toronto, and proud grandfather of Vance and James.  Jan is also survived by his family in Sweden, where Jan was born, and his many friends.

Jan was an accomplished musician and played 1^st clarinet for many bands in the Armed Forces including Cdn Guard Band, Lands RCR Band, Norad Band and Vimy Band. He also loved to entertain and loved telling jokes.  He brought smiles to everyone he met within his life.  He will be missed.

In keeping with Jan’s wishes, a memorial service celebrating his life will be held in the chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 10:00 am.
