Obituary of Klaus Holthus

Klaus Holthus, age 65 of Kingston Ontario, passed away unexpextedly on May 5, 2021, from a heart attack.

Klaus was born in Honerdingen Germany, March 26, 1956.

Klaus was enlisted in the Candian Armed Forces and was stationed in Petawawa and Prince Edward Island. Klaus was a medic in the army, which he thoroughly enjoyed. While stationed in Petawawa he became a member of the Air Borne Regiment.  After retiring from the Armed Forces, his family moved back to Kingston and uses his wood working skills which he inherited from his father and set up a shop in Harrowsmith.

Klaus is survived by his sons Kyle and Jonah Holthus.  Sister Heidimarie Hammer of Sydenham, Ontario.  Uncle to Karl, Chris, Natasha and Bianca.  Also great uncle to nieces and nephews, Jack, Haley, Tyler, Lucas, Caleb, Paisley, Lachlyn, and Kiptyn and other family members in Germany. He will be missed by his companion Penny Peters and family.

Klaus is preceded in death by his parents Helmut Holthus, 2001 and Helen Holthus, 2009.

Cremation will take place at James Reid Funeral Home Kingston. 

A  Celebration of Life will be held later.
