Harris, William (Bill)

      1958 - 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Bill’s valiant battle with brain cancer came to an end on April 10th, 2021 at the age of 62 at the Providence Care Hospital in Kingston.

Beloved husband of Lise Harris (née Fortin) and proud and loving father of Jonathan and Vanessa. Also survived by his siblings Frank (Ann), Mary (Claude), Steve (Cora), Maureen (Randy) and Paul (Katherine). Dear brother-in-law to Louise (Maurice), Suzanne (Bill) and Julie (Laurent), as well as a fun and caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret and in-laws Roger and Hélène Fortin.   

Bill was known for his incredible zest for life and his passion for travelling and cooking. He was a jack of all trades who was always looking for his next project. He had an extensive career in the Federal Government which he retired from in 2017. Bill had many accomplishments and helped many during his life. He felt happiest when surrounded by his family and friends. His caring and gregarious personality, great sense of humour, tenacity and resourcefulness will be missed by all who have crossed his path.

A heartfelt thank you to Suzanne and Kassandra for being by our side when it mattered the most.

A celebration of life will be held in Ottawa at a later date.
