DUFFY, Thomas Andrew
Peacefully, at Providence Care Hospital following a lengthy illness and surrounded by the love of family, on Friday, March 12, 2021. Thomas Duffy, in his 76th year, beloved husband of Linda (nee Grigg) with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Loving father of Shelly Vieira (John), Kelly Andrews (Travis) and special father to Sheri Badalato. Bestest friend and Poppy to Tiffany Silvestre (Luis), Taylor Andrews (Brendan), Courtney Vieira and Xavier Andrews (Taylor). Predeceased by his parents, William Henry and Jean Beatrice (nee Hannah) Duffy. Survived by brother Gerald (Cathy) and predeceased by brother Bill (Sally). Also remembered by sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie (late Dale), Janice (George), Art (Sue), Sterling (Nancy), late Bob (Linda), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. In accordance with Thomas' wishes, cremation has taken place at James Reid Crematorium.
A Drive-up visitation will be held at the Reception Centre of the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Saturday, March 20 between the hours of 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. In consideration of Covid-19 protocols, parking lot attendants will offer guidance and remind visitors to remain in their vehicles while offering condolences to the family. No social gathering is permitted in the parking lot.
Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society.
