Obituary of Timothy Mark Briceland
BRICELAND, Timothy Mark
Born on July 21, 1957 in Kingston, Ontario, Tim passed away suddenly on January 2, 2020. Tim was passionate about helping people, whether in his job of 25 years where he retired as Kingston Site Fire Safety Resource and Fire Competency Leader for DuPont Canada or as a Volunteer Fire Fighter, which Tim absolutely loved doing, or as a Foster Parent with his wife, Patti, to many children over the past 9 years, changing lives and showing love and support to some of the most vulnerable in our community. Tim was a kind and thoughtful man, unassuming and caring with a great sense of humour. He loved restoring old cars, gardening, cooking and watching movies with his family. Despite being in severe pain over the last few years, he never complained. He was a true gentleman in every respect. Tim was the second oldest of four children. He was a devoted husband, father, grand-father, son, son-in-law, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by his wife Patti, his children; Christina (Dimitri) and Alex, step children; Amber (Justin), Nick, Ciara (Josh), Sarah and Breanna, father figure to; Lily and Logan, grandchildren; Aleissia and Emerson, father; Donald Briceland, siblings; Ed (Angie), Kathy (Bill), Mark (Donna), son-in-law to; Ken and Ida Bishop, brother-in-law to; Donna and Mike van der Hoeven, and all of his relatives and close friends. He was predeceased by his mother Karen. Memorial donations for those wishing may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario (UHKF).
