Passed away peacefully aged 84 on December 9 with Barbara, his wife of over 60 years, at his side. Proud father of Krisan Cowley (Marty Cowley, deceased), Collin, and Kevin (Jill Williams). Grandpa T to Andrew Tureski. Dear brother of Rose Turton and Vicky D’Ambroise.  Uncle Mike to Dennis D’Ambroise and Richard, Susan and Peter Turton.

A proud Kingstonian for the first and last 25 years of his life, Michael was a choirboy at St. George’s, an armourer at Fort Henry, center for the 1957 Queen’s Golden Gaels football team, former President of the Royal Kingston Curling Club, and avid St Lawrence river fisherman. Michael started his 40-year career with DuPont at the Nylon plant.  In keeping with Michael’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St George’s Cathedral at 1pm on Saturday December 14. A celebration of life will follow in the New Year, date TBA.  For those who wish, donations may be made to St George’s Cathedral, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Camp Trillium in Michael’s memory.  Special thanks to the kind and attentive care of the staff at the KGH Cardio Science Unit.
