Obituary of Margaret McIver

McIVER, Margaret (Maggie)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Maggie, who passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the age of 57.  Maggie was predeceased by her father George McIver and sister Sue. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Staveley and step-father Bob Staveley, husband Ross Brown and their children Susan, Alasdair and Islay, sisters Martha and Sheila and their families, mother-in-law Molly Brown, brother-in-law Scott Brown and his family and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Maggie devoted much of her adult life to raising her three children, and later worked as a library technician at Queen's University. She loved to read, played snare drum in several pipe bands, played the fiddle in the Kingston Ceili Band and had a degree in Fine Art and loved to draw and paint. She enjoyed the outdoors and skied, swam and hiked.  She was a loving daughter, wife and mother.  We thank God for our dear Maggie.
