Obituary of Jeannie Forte
FORTE, Audrey Jean (Jeannie)
August 24, 1959 – December 3, 2019
Jeannie passed away peacefully surrounded by loving friends and family at Providence Care Hospital on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Dearest daughter of Charles Forte and Winnifred Forte (deceased), much loved sister of Chuck and sister-in-law Judy, and special cousin of Wendy Smith. She was a most cherished aunt of Emily Chamberlain (Rory), Lauren Kirk (Matt), Ben Forte and Mallory Smith, and adored great-aunt of Brynn, Deacon, Myla, Jax and Vivian. Jeannie will be dearly missed by her many aunts, uncles and cousins, especially her fellow ‘59ers - Bonnie, Patty and Tammy. Jeannie was so fortunate and blessed to have an amazing circle of friends who were alongside her on her journey, many of whom she came to know through her career as an educator and administrator with the Limestone District School Board, as well as her involvement with the local Kingston theatre community. Visitation will be held at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Blvd. on Sunday, December 8 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Funeral service at ST. PAUL’S ANGLICAN CHURCH (Queen & Montreal St.) on Monday, December 9 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow at the James Reid Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) or Limestone Learning Foundation in Jeannie’s memory.
