BURGESS, Arthur Allan

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family of Art Burgess, in his 80th year, announces his passing peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 3rd 2019 surrounded by his loving family, following a three-year battle with cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of fifty-seven years Patricia Burgess (nee Sargent) and will be sadly missed by his children Brenda Tibbutt, Beth Brown (Chris), and Allan Burgess (Lauri). He was a special grandpa to Amanda Tibbutt (David Brown), Shauna Tibbutt (Keegan Leroux), Melissa Lott (Jessie), Aaron Brown (Sadie Ferguson), Brianna Burgess (Liam Sands), Sarah and Delaney Burgess and a special great grandpa to Mason Lott. He is also survived by sister in law Rose Burgess along with aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Art was predeceased by his parents Bill and Beulah Burgess (nee Wallace), his brother Lyle and grandson Robert Tibbutt.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the James Reid Funeral Home 1900 John Counter Blvd Kingston with Funeral Service held in the chapel on Monday, December 9 at 11:00 am. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Glenburnie.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Westbrook United Church or the UHKF (Cancer Centre of South Eastern Ontario) in Art's memory.
