Passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the age of 59. Cherished wife of the late Claude Poitras and loving partner of Bill Anderson. Treasured Mother of Chantale Poitras (Sébastien Gauthier), Danielle King (Andrew King) and Michelle Poitras (Guillaume Gagnon). Proud Nana of Olivier, Samuel, Lilianne, Gabrielle, Benjamin and Noah. Janice was predeceased by her parents James and Florence Willshaw. Dear sister of Jim Willshaw (Susan) and Stephan Willshaw (Sandra) and sister-in-law of Huguette, Jacques (Diane Bergeron), and Nancy (Denis Brassard). She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Marianne, Patricia, Pierre, Andrée-Anne, and Tanner and by her aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. In keeping with Janice’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday, December, 8, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the Reception and Celebration Centre of the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston (entering from the rear parking lot doors). As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to CHEO in memory of Janice would be appreciated by the family.
