1931-2019
Born in Kingston, ON May 16, 1931, Neil died at home in Kingston, ON, on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Neil was predeceased by his parents George and Grace (Burleigh) Lakins, and a brother Percy. He is survived by his wife Claire (Sirett), a son George (Liette Lemieux) of Oshawa, ON, a daughter Nancy of Napanee, ON, a granddaughter Mallory Lakins (Matt Miller) of Pemberton B.C.; a grandson Colin Lakins of Napanee, ON, a sister Mary McDonald (late Roy) of Peterborough, ON and nieces and nephews from coast to coast. Neil will also be remembered by his KCVI coffee friends, the members of RAPCAN, and the members of SPAADS, particularly his buddies from 427 Squadron. ROAR!
Relatives and friends are invited to James Reid Funeral Home Celebration Centre, 1900 John Counter Blvd. (please entre from rear parking lot) for a memorial gathering on Friday, November 22 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. The family wishes to thank the medical community, and all their friends and neighbours for the amazing support they have received. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Pathways to Independence (earmarked for the West St. Residence, in Napanee).
