Obituary of John Lake

LAKE, Gerard John

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Lake, loving husband, father, and grandfather on Saturday, October 5, 2019, surrounded by his family.  John in his 82^nd year, husband of Elizabeth, proud father of Gail Ferland, Susan Bartlett (Kelly) and Gordon (Anissa).  Devoted grandfather to Joel and Alec Ferland, Kelsey and Nicholas Bartlett, and Mackenzie and Bentley Lake.  John will be sadly missed by his family in England, brothers Roger (Valerie) and Robert (Margaret) and their families.  A special thank you is extended to the staff of Arbour Heights for their care and support during his stay and final days.

In keeping with John’s wishes cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the Reception and Celebration Centre of the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd. (please enter from the rear parking lot doors).  For those who wish, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
