Ret'd Kingston Police with 32 years of service.
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2019. Ed was born in Gatineau, QC on October 4, 1935. He was the beloved husband of Sheila Marsh. Loving father of Bob, Susan O'Shea (Mike) and Kevin. Proud grandfather of Jeffrey McCarthy, Calum McCarthy, Maggie O'Shea, Myles O'Shea and great grandfather of Charlie O'Shea. Ed is predeceased by his parents Ambrose McCarthy and Rose (nee Moran); siblings James (Grace), Mildred (Philip), John (Jo), Ray (Denise) and Madeline. He will be remembered by cousins Joannie (Steve) and Linda (Amodio). Ed enjoyed travelling, cruises and exploring other parts of the world he especially loved spending time with his family, grandkids and friends. Visitation will be held at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Blvd. on Friday, August 9 from 11:00 am - 1:50 pm with the funeral service following at 2 pm in the chapel. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
