Obituary of Roslyn B. Lawson

LAWSON, Roslyn (Lennie) 
nee Hollett
Born August 27th, 1928, Lennie passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2019 in her 91st year at Trillium Long Term Care Home. Predeceased by loving husband Gavin and infant son Robbie; her parents Leonard and Leah Hollett, brothers Bill and Cliff, sisters Ada, Rene, Marg and Evelyn, cousin Verna and brother in law Bob Lawson of Scotland. Survived by her sisters Mary and Mildred.
Loved and cherished by her children Tom (Cindy) Lawson, Janet Flynn, Jean Lawson, and Barb Lawson (Richard Abbott); grandchildren Melissa (Evan) Paterson, Rob (Candice) Lawson, Brad Flynn (Leah Randall), Mike (Katey) Lawson; great-grandchildren Brooklynn and Peyton Lawson; sister-in-law Margaret Lawson and many nieces and nephews. We will treasure our memories of her smile, kindness, generosity and love, and the way she could break in to song at any moment. Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high, we will find her in the flight of the butterfly. Thank you to the care teams of KGH Davies 5 and the ER, Providence Care Hospital and Briargate Retirement Home for their support and efforts as Lennie struggled for the last few months and to the many PSWs, their friendliness and compassion was truly appreciated.  A Memorial Reception in Lennie's honour will be held at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, CELEBRATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Tuesday August 13th between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. (Please enter the Reception Centre from the rear parking lot).  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Lennie's name can be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.
