Obituary of Marlyn Audrey LaRocque

LAROCQUE, Marlyn Audrey (Rutz)  
March 10, 1939 - July 12, 2019  
Peacefully after a lengthy illness with family by her side.  Loving mother of Dennis (Marc Claege), Vince (Jennie Burns), and Heather (Paul Steele).  Beloved Nana to Brittney, Leandra (Jesse Manning) and Kaity Steele (Devan Burden).  Sister of Garry Rutz (Marlene), Dorothy Scheuneman (Lorne), Margaret Rutz, and Weldon Rutz. Pre-deceased by parents Edna and Alex Rutz. Fondly remembered by Sisters-in law Marguerite Juby and Harriet Barkhouse, and many nieces and nephews.  Heartfelt thanks to the numerous Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at KGH Cancer Clinic, KGH Short Stay Unit, and Providence Care Palliative Care Unit who relentlessly cared for Mom's every need and for their unwavering support and guidance for our family.  A Celebration of Life will be held at GLENBURNIE UNITED CHURCH, 1028 Unity Road, on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Elizabeth Boehm-Wilson officiating. Following a private inurnment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens the family will host a reception with light refreshments in the church hall. For your comfort, casual attire is welcomed.  Donations in Marlyn's memory to Glenburnie United Church (cash or cheque), would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
