Obituary of Jessie Miree Black

BLACK, Jessie Miree (nee Cowdy)

Jessie passed away peacefully at the Arbour Heights Nursing Home on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at the age of 91.  Jessie was predeceased by her loving husband Walter Black.  Dear sister of Neil Cowdy and his wife Anita.  Also predeceased by her parents Floyd and Miree (Burgess) Cowdy, brothers John (Vera) and James (Laura) and sister Ida Cowdy.  Survived by sister-in-law Mildred McKnight.  She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families.  Visitation will be held at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd.) on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 10:00 – 10:45 am.  Service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 am, followed by the interment at Sydenham Cemetery.  A reception will be held in the James Reid Funeral Home Reception Centre following the burial.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions in Jessie’s memory may be made to St. Luke’s Anglican Church.
