Obituary of Shirley A. Young

YOUNG, Shirley Alice 
(nee Newbury) 
At Rideaucrest Home, in her 91st year, Shirley Young entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Beloved wife of the late William Young. Loving mother of Judy, Nancy Ayling and her husband Brian, and Bill (Dana). Caring grandmother to Sean, Greg and Alice. Shirley leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Shirley took much joy in caring for others. She particularly enjoyed the many years she cared for David, John and Julie. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters George, Raymond, Bill, Thomas and Connie Newbury and Betty Kirkpatrick. We can not thank the staff at Rideaucrest enough for everything they have done for Shirley these last nine years. Family and friends will be received at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Thursday, May 30 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Funeral service in the Chapel on Friday, May 31 at 11:00 am, with Pastor Chris Walker officiating.  Interment Cataraqui Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations by cheque, directed to Rideaucrest with Gardenwalk Terrace in the memo line, 175 Rideau St., Kingston, K7K 3H6, in Shirley's memory, or to the charity of one's choice, would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
