Obituary of Richard Sinden Wittich

WITTICH, Richard Sinden
The family of Richard Sinden Wittich sadly announce his passing at the age of 101, on Friday, May 10, 2019.  Born in London, England in 1918, Richard moved to Canada in 1991.  Loving father of Richard of Florida, Valerie, Margaret and Elizabeth, all of England, Esther of Kingston and Dale of Napanee.  Predeceased by sons Wayne and Gary.  Predeceased by wives Ruth, Joyce and Louise.  He will be lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be missed by his many friends at Rideaucrest Towers and Rideaucrest Cafe.  Before coming to Canada in 1991, he was in the military, drove double decker buses in London and assembled cars at a GM plant in England.  After retiring he helped out in his son's pubs and also in his son-in-law's restaurants and enjoyed travelling.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Providence Care Hospital and Kidd 4 at KHSC for the excellent care they provided.  Kidd 4 staff are truly amazing.  Cremation in the care of James Reid Crematorium.  A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard on Thursday, May 16 at 2:00 pm with The Venerable Bill Clarke officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 1:50 pm and during a reception following the service.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society in memory of Richard.
