ROMEO, Annunziato Gaetano (Tony)

Distinguished home builder and furniture maker of 42 years in the Kingston Area and founder of the Italo Canadian Club

After a valiant battle with cancer, Tony passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 in his home surrounded by his loving children.  Beloved husband and soulmate to his predeceased wife of 51 years, Barbara Jean Romeo (nee Ememeau).  Father of Melina Demone (Hardy), Joe Romeo (Melissa), Steve Romeo (Linda) and Tina Romeo-Cupic (Steven).  Proud grandfather to Dathan (Julie), Stephen (Ashley), Christopher, Adrianna, Domenico, and Stefan Gaetano.  Proud great grandfather to Jack Anthony, Raya and Maddalena Demone.  Tony is survived by brother Annuziato Romeo, and sisters Maria Dieni and Tita Furlo.  He will be greatly missed by many family members in Italy, Switzerland, and the United States, as well as nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia.  Friends and family will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  Funeral service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 115 Joyce Street, Kingston, on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm.  A private family interment will be held at the Cataraqui Cemetery.  For those who wish, donations in Tony’s memory, may be made to the U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of SE Ontario) or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
