JOHNSTON, Clifford W. J.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cliff Johnston on Friday, April 12, 2019, in his 91st year.  He will be dearly missed by his wife Janet (nee Gordon) and daughters Judy Bélanger (Luc) and Sue Barkley (Chris).  He is survived by his sister Lillian Smith and many nieces and nephews.  Clifford had many interests and was actively involved in the community.  He worked for Correctional Service Canada for 32 years.  Cliff was a member of the Canadian Thoroughbred Society, past Chairman of the Canadian Sport Horse Association, and an avid gardener and maple syrup producer.  Cremation at James Reid Crematorium will be followed by a private family graveside service at Christ Church Cemetery, Cataraqui.  Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life in the JAMES REID RECEPTION AND CELEBRATION CENTRE, 1900 John Counter Boulevard (please enter from the rear parking lot) on Wednesday, April 24 between the hours of 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.  As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church, Cataraqui or Parkinson Canada, in Cliff`s memory.
