December 18, 1938- March 7, 2019
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jose at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by the love of his devoted family, on Thursday March 7th, 2019, in his 81st year. Jose, beloved best friend and husband of 50 years to Lolita (dela Fuente), loving father of Lorraine (Patrick) Kennedy and JoJo (Melanie). He will be sadly missed by his most cherished grandchildren Grace, Annie, Joseph, Myles and Jonah.
Survived by his brother Shane (Aida), sisters-in-law Lily (Romeo) Ramos, Ched, Toying and Delia Quintana. Predeceased by his parents, Melecio and Baltazara, siblings Melecio Jr., Simeon, Ramon, Rodolfo and Teresa in the Philippines.
Jose arrived in Kingston on February 8th, 1969 to marry his high school sweetheart on March 8th, 1969. He will be missed by all his cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and barkadas in the Filipino community.

There will be a visitation held at the James Reid Funeral Home on Sunday March 10, 2019 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral mass will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (Palace Road) on Monday March 11, 2019 at 10:30am. Donations would be appreciated to the Kidney Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada or St. Joseph's Parish.
