Obituary of Joan Elizabeth Butler

BUTLER, Joan Elizabeth - Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday February 26, 2019 in her 85th year, with her family by her side. Lifetime partner of Peter, beloved mother of Derek (Laura), David (Sandy), Anne (Brian) and Jennifer (Simon).  Proud grandma of Cameron, Emily, Katherine, Jane, Matthew and Clare - who she cared for, cheered for and spoiled at every opportunity. Predeceased by her brothers Kenny, Gordon and Bert (Edwards). Deep thank you to the nurses, physicians and staff at KGH for their compassionate care in her final days. Joan will be remembered as a loyal friend, avid bridge player, longtime sailor, and devoted volunteer with the Kingston Symphony Volunteer Association and Friends of Lemoine Point. As Joan wished, her family will hold a private family celebration of her life. Friends invited to contribute in Joan's honour to the Kingston Symphony Association or Friends of Lemoine Point.
