Obituary of Blake Griffin

GRIFFIN, James Blake

1940-2019

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Blake Griffin, on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Arbour Heights, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s.  Blake will be lovingly remembered by his cherished daughters Susan Griffin and Lynda Griffin (Tom).  He was predeceased by his loving wife Nancy Griffin and his parents William and Nora Griffin.  Dearly missed by his Aunt June Grimwood, Sister and Brother in law Norma and Bill Templeton, cousins Julie and Rob Grimwood, Fred (deceased) Keith and Ron Wood and cousins in England Barbara, John, Barry, Wendy, and Ian.  Susan and Lynda would like to extend their gratitude to the nursing and PCP staff at Arbour Heights for their love and care for our father, especially during his final days. Blake’s family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating his life in the chapel at 3:15 pm.  For those who wish, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada, or the Kingston Humane Society in Blake’s memory.
