To Betty’s Children and their families.
Deepest sympathy to all of you in the passing of your dear mother and grandmother. It was a pleasure having the opportunity looking after Betty for her final days. Your mom was such a lovely lady and so appreciative for the help she received. She thought the world of her children, and this was so evident in every time they came to visit or called on the phone, with her last words always being l love you. She spoke to me and was very proud of each of you. She certainly was a devout Catholic always praying the rosary. As sick as she was at the end that was one of the last things she ask for, was to have her rosary put in her hands. Betty walked in Gods shadow and lived the way he would want her too. It was time for her to go as God saw her suffering and granted her eternal life. If love could have saved your mom she wouldn’t have died, cuz she was loved by many. It was a blessing meeting most of Betty’s children and seeing how dedicated they were to Betty. I had the privilege of talking to Betty a couple days before her passing, and she told me she wasn’t afraid to die, that she was ready and she lived a good long life. Betty told me she had no regrets and that she loved all her children so much and how thankful she was for everything they done for her. We had a lot of laughs and conversation and she shared many stories about her husband with me and how he was a good cook and made the best spaghetti. I only had 1 regret and that is that l wished l knew her many years ago. Treasure the memories you have of your loved one and allow them to replace the sadness you have in your hearts today. I would like to leave you with a poem l wrote and would like you to think of it as a message from your mother.
Remember Me
When time has come for us to part
And leave our stay on earth
Treasure that time dearly
It dates back to your birth
No flower lives forever
No sky is always blue
Nothing ever will replace
The time l spent with you
With every star in the night sky
And every raindrop that falls
With every sun in the daytime
I will be part of them all
I’ll leave you broken hearts
And leave you full of grief
This pain won’t last forever
My parting is only brief
Someday we’ll be together again
When you enter into rest
His garden is so beautiful
To my family, you were the best
Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers for days to com.
