James Reid Funeral Home offers two non-ceremony cremation packages. We are here for you in your time of need. Please reach out to us via email or telephone.
Estate Cremation is our most commonly selected package, offering valuable and comprehensive support.
Please note: A cremation container or casket is required by law. Because you can choose from several containers and caskets, this cost is not included in our cremation package prices. Our basic caskets start at $235 plus tax; please expect this cost (at minimum) in addition to your chosen package total.

When arranging for end-of-life care at our funeral home, we ask for a 20% deposit when you sign the contract, which is usually during the arrangement meeting. We accept cheques, e-transfer, debit, bank drafts, Mastercard and Visa.
The balance owing is due within 30 days, by the same payment methods.
We price-match written quotes from cremation providers because as your local family-run funeral home, we want to serve all local families.

Convenience: Unlike other local crematoriums, we are open seven days a week. We also offer remote signing of contracts, online arranging, phone support 24/7, and email support 9am to 5pm.

Minimal environmental impact: No smoke and no emissions are released except carbon dioxide as recorded for the Ministry of the Environment on our computerized Continuous Monitoring System.
Beautiful facilities: Accessible, comfortable, and relaxed setting when you make arrangements, have Family Time, and receive the remains.
Optional service choices: If you would like to add a private or public gathering following cremation, we can arrange and host it for you in one of our suites, chapel, graveside, or Celebration Centre.
Ongoing support after the death: Estate Care Assistance, a separate in-person meeting with our Estate Care Provider, sets us apart from all other funeral homes in the area. Our Bereavement Support Program, including one-on-one grief support, as well as meet-up groups and walks, have helped thousands of Kingstonians since 1997 when we began our complimentary James Reid Bereavement Support Program.
If you've prepaid at another funeral home, please ask us how easy it is to transfer your arrangements to us. We do the paperwork and you do not have to revisit the original crematorium or funeral home.
Our Family Time goodbye is available for $180 plus tax with the Basic Cremation package, or included in Estate Cremation.
