Potts, Reginald Bertrum "Reg"
Peacefully at Fairmount Home on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the age of 82. Loving husband to Gwen (nee Cameron) for 61 years. Devoted father of Clayton (Evonne) and Darlene Potts-Edwards (Roy) and grandfather of Justin (Roxanne), Jamie Badgley, Jordan, Joshua Badgley, Jarred and great granddaughter Ashlyn. Dear brother of Brenda Sigouin (Art). He was predeceased by his parents Bert and Laura Potts, brother Richard Potts and Robert Pinner. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Marie Pinner, Gladys Potts and many nieces and nephews. Reg was extremely loving and proud of his family. Truly an amazing dad, a mentor to his children and grandchildren, always supportive of them in every way. A man with great integrity. He loved nature spending time at his cottage on Knowlton Lake and was an avid hunter and fisherman. We will forever cherish our memories of his great sense of humour, his unforgettable grin and twinkle in his eyes. The family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff and volunteers at Fairmount Nursing Home for the wonderful care that Reg received over the past three years, as well as the compassion shown to Gwen and family. A celebration of Reg's life will be held in the James Reid Celebration Centre, 1900 John Counter Blvd. (please enter from the rear parking lot) on Monday, March 12th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 11:45 a.m. Cremation has taken place, final place of rest will be Cataraqui Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Reg's name to Fairmount Home or Alzheimer Society of KFL&A Kingston would be appreciated.
