Anunciação do Senhor
Contemplamos o mistério do Deus Todo-Poderoso, que cria todas as coisas com sua Palavra
Neste dia, a Igreja festeja solenemente o anúncio da Encarnação do Filho de Deus. O tema central desta grande festa é o Verbo Divino que assume nossa natureza humana, sujeitando-se ao tempo e espaço.
Hoje é o dia em que a eternidade entra no tempo ou, como afirmou o Papa São Leão Magno: "A humildade foi assumida pela majestade; a fraqueza, pela força; a mortalidade, pela eternidade."
Com alegria contemplamos o mistério do Deus Todo-Poderoso, que na origem do mundo cria todas as coisas com sua Palavra, porém, desta vez escolhe depender da Palavra de um frágil ser humano, a Virgem Maria, para poder realizar a Encarnação do Filho Redentor:
"No sexto mês, o anjo Gabriel foi enviado por Deus a uma cidade da Galileia, chamada Nazaré, a uma virgem e disse-lhe: ‘Ave, cheia de graça, o Senhor é contigo.’ Não temas , Maria, conceberás e darás à luz um filho, e lhe porás o nome de Jesus. Maria perguntou ao anjo: ‘Como se fará isso, pois não conheço homem?’ Respondeu-lhe o anjo:’ O Espírito Santo descerá sobre ti. Então disse Maria: ‘Eis aqui a serva do Senhor. Faça-se em mim segundo a tu palavra’" (cf. Lc 1,26-38).
Sendo assim, hoje é o dia de proclamarmos: "E o Verbo se fez carne e habitou entre nós" (Jo 1,14a). E fazermos memória do início oficial da Redenção de TODOS, devido à plenitude dos tempos. É o momento histórico, em que o SIM do Filho ao Pai precedeu o da Mãe: "Então eu disse: Eis que venho (porque é de mim que está escrito no rolo do livro), venho, ó Deus, para fazer a tua vontade" (Hb 10,7). Mas não suprimiu o necessário SIM humano da Virgem Santíssima.
Cumprindo desta maneira a profecia de Isaías: "Por isso, o próprio Senhor vos dará um sinal: uma virgem conceberá e dará à luz um filho, e o chamará Deus Conosco" (Is 7,14). Por isso rezemos com toda a Igreja:
"Ó Deus, quisestes que vosso Verbo se fizesse homem no seio da Virgem Maria; dai-nos participar da divindade do nosso Redentor, que proclamamos verdadeiro Deus e verdadeiro homem. Por nosso Jesus Cristo, vosso Filho, na unidade do Espírito Santo".
Que a paz DO ESPÍRITO DO SANTO o confote vossos corações e de seus familiares.

Dear Anne,
Jen, Jordan, James and I fondly remember visiting you and Carl in your home shortly after you first arrived here in Kingston.
