Obituary of June Valerie Nyran

With sad hearts, the family of June announce her passing at the age of 87 on December 29th at Kingston General Hospital. Loving wife for 68 years to Henry (Hank), much loved mother of Julie (the late Tim Scanlon), and very special “Gran” to Andrew, Victoria, Rachel and Gillian. June is predeceased by her mother Violet. Born in Northern Ireland, June moved to Canada as a teenager. Although her life and loved ones are here, her heart was always ‘back home’. June loved to laugh, cook, and be around her favourite people. Her zest for life filled her with spirit, strength, and always made her the shining star in the room. June touched so many lives, and will be missed by many. A service will not be held. To celebrate her memory, June’s family will scatter her ashes in Ireland at a future date.
