Obituary of John Michael Horrocks

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Michael Horrocks on Tuesday March 7, 2023 at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital.

Son of Wayne Horrocks and Anne Horrocks (Casey) of Sydenham. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Sue Horrocks (Hoyle) and devoted daughter Sam Horrocks.  

Brother of Michelle Huntley and her husband Paul of Ingleside, and Nicole Murphy and her husband Gord of Dublin, OH.

Born in Charlottetown, PEI and educated at the University of Toronto, Mike was a Homicide Detective for the Durham Regional Police (Oshawa), and lived in Whitby for many years before retiring to the Kingston area with his family, where he built their dream home.

In keeping with Mike’s wishes, a private family graveside has been held at Cataraqui Cemetery.
