I'm pleased to have a memory of Frances...her laying the Prisoner of War wreath at a Remembrance Day Ceremony some years ago at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 491, Seeleys Bay. More vivid in my memory, though, is the love and respect with which daughter Liz arranged for her mother to do this. My sincere condolences, Liz, and family.

Thank you Martin, she appreciated the chance to attend the services in the Bay, and of course my father's experience as a POW were life-altering for her as well. So kind of you to remember.

Here is a lovely Burton memory from Barb Verheof (Bechard) - Frances is centre back, to the left of her sister Marj, and just some of the baby boom contributions from Burton sisters. I am guessing other family members were nearby, managing the fire for this 'weenie roast'.
