So sorry to hear about Ed passing away. May God comfort you during this sad time of sorrow.
Hennie, I will forever be grateful to you and Ed for your generosity in allowing my friend Juline and I to stay at your place, while she visited some years ago. That was such a blessing!

Dear Henny and family,
In 2000 we visit (with our family) Ed and Henny at their home in Canada, near Ottawa. A few days we stayed there and have the privilige to learn from them.
Ed showed us about their way of living. A fine example is the way Ed starts his day. Each day he started very early in the morning with a large cup of coffee by Tim Hortons. Together we visited a national park and went with their boat,on a trip on the St.Lawrence river.
Further Ed showed us the wisdom of the people of the first nations and his ability of performing as a deacon in a service in a nursing home.
Beatiful memories to a very special nephew of us all.Our condolences to you all.

I met Hennie on the tennis courts at Henderson Park about five years ago. I also knew Ed as a fellow volunteer at Mission Thrift Store. However I initially did not realize they were married until I visited Hennie at KGH and Ed was in the hospital room. I said “Ed you know Hennie too??” He said “ yes I do we have been married 58 years”. So I guess he knew her a bit better then I did.
Ed was always smiling and laughing when at the thrift store. A story teller who enjoyed being around other people and helping others truly made him happy. My sincere condolences to Hennie and her family. God bless.
