Obituary of Danny Wayne Clarke

CLARKE, Danny Wayne

June 16, 1954 – February 24, 2022

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Danny, surrounded by his family and their love.  Loving and devoted husband to Spring (Gillett) and proud father to Christal (Larry Weaver), Melissa (Josh Dennis) and doting Poppa to Carter and Myles.

Danny will be sadly missed by his siblings Linda Clarke, Heather Agnew (Jeff), Ted Clarke (late Michele) as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother John and parents Cyril and Edith Clarke.

Danny was devoted to, and extremely proud of his family always putting them above everyone else. He loved the outdoors and treasured his time spent at his cottage on Buck Lake that he built for his wife, daughters and “grandboys”.

Danny was the proud owner of the Loyal Oarsman Pub for 23 years. He was well respected in the community and cherished by many including his loyal staff and customers.  All who knew him would have nothing short to say but what an incredibly kind, generous, thoughtful, hard-working person he was as well as being a mentor to so many. He was an avid “Habs” fan and enjoyed letting everyone know.

Danny lived life to the fullest. He was all about good times and he shared countless stories and laughs with his many great friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In keeping with Danny’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at James Reid Funeral Home. There will be a public celebration of Danny’s life that will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the UHKF - Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario.
