Our condolences to the family. My contact with Col Tattersall was mainly in Brunsum, Nl , when I served there as dental officer for the CF and families in Brunsum, Geilenkirchen,and Mons. I had been a MILE officer 70 - -79, but lost my love for structural engineering and became a “foundation “ engineer on a much smaller scale. Col Tattersall wrote my PER’s for some reason, but my dental boss was doubtful that I could actually “walk on water “. The two years in the Netherlands was one of our most enjoyable postings, thanks to Col Tattersall and the rest of the Canadian continjent. It was always “fun” to get senior engineer officers in my chair where I could scare them, instead of being the lowly Lt/Capt MILE officer who had been afraid of them ! Chimo! To the Tattersall Family - my heart goes out to you. I join the Army when Al was still serving, but only met him a couple of time when I was a Lieutenant and Captain and he was a Colonel. But much later (30 years plus) we would share beers and engineer tales at the Portsmouth Tavern at the monthly local Canadian Military Engineer Association luncheon. He will be missed by the engineer family.
