Castro, Rogelio (Roger)

September 28, 1944 – November 15, 2018

Rogelio Castro, son of late Ricardo and Marciana Castro of Manila, Philippines, passed away surrounded by his family at Kingston General Hospital on Thursday, November 15, 2018  at the age of 74.  Roger leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Lorna (Linsangan) Castro.  Loving father to Lizzie (Daniel) Conforti, Roger Alan (Nhung) Castro, Siegfred (Cynthia) Ocampo and many nieces and nephews, who all held a special place in his heart. Roger will be remembered and cherished by his grandchildren Marcus, Nico and Zoey, whom he adored. He was a Father to many beyond his own children, always filling their hearts with love and happiness. Survived by his brother Reynaldo, sisters Elizabeth and Emily preceded by Evangeline. Roger valued his time with his family and his friends, who hold special memories of their times together.

The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks to Providence Care Hospital and Kingston General Hospital for their care and kindness towards Rogelio and his family.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday November 20th at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston ON. A service will be held at Holy Family Parish 130 Wiley Street Kingston, ON at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 21. A reception will follow at 12:15 PM at James Reid Funeral Home.
