WW2 Naval Veteran and Retired Assistant Deputy Chief Kingston Fire Department

Passed away peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Thursday November 1, 2018. Predeceased by his wife Phyllis in 1992 (nee Tibbutt) and fiancé Lois Dubenofsky in 2010. Beloved father of Rhonda, Allan (Heather) and Carl. Dear grandfather of David (Courtney), Rob, Kristina (Roberto), Nick and Candice (Steve). Great grandfather of Darwin, Darian, Hunter and Hayden. Claude was predeceased by his parents Sidney and Myrtle (Babcock) and siblings Lucy (Art) Brierely, Art (Shirley) Sleap, Norma (Ron) Brierley and Carl Sleap.

Claude will be missed by his nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all those who provided care over the last several years.

There will be a visitation held at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd.) on Monday November 5, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The service will be held in the James Reid Chapel on Tuesday November 6 at 11am followed by an interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
