Obituary of Wayne Oliver Hopson

HOPSON, Wayne Oliver
June 8, 1950 - October 30, 2018
Wayne passed peacefully at the Providence Care Hospital after a short but bitter battle with cancer.  Wayne is survived by daughter Tonya Gillingham, grandchildren, Noah, Ian and Aydin; son Wayne Schoenherr; daughter Sandra McClean, grandchildren Amber and Emily.
Deeply missed by siblings, David, Lynda, Robin, Brian, Denise and Kendall and their spouses as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.  A heartfelt thank you is extended to the doctors and staff of the Kingston General Hospital as well as the Providence Care Hospital for the exceptional care that Wayne received.   A celebration of Wayne's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Seeleys Bay, Branch 491 (116 Bay St.) on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm. For those who wish, donations in Wayne's memory may be made to the UKHF (Providence Care Hospital or Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) or to Bladder Cancer Canada.
