Jane and family,
We were going through my Dad’s old files today and found one with a number of letters to and from both of you. I Googled you tonight to see if I could find out where you were. We were very sorry to see this announcement. As you know you were two of my parent’s favorite people and I certainly remember all the laughter when you were visiting us. Mom and Dad were very lucky to have you as life long friends.

To Jane and all family members,
Nancy and I were saddened to learn of the passing of Douglas (Digger) Youngson.
Digger was a bastion of support for the Royal Military College of Canada, who gave more than time at Panet House. He gave of himself as he did in his Service Career and life.
I always enjoyed his company at club meetings and other social get-togethers. I enjoyed listening to his stories as we shared anecdotes of times past, of service and life experiences.
I am glad to have shared a bit of his life as a brother officer, Ex-Cadet, colleague, and friend.
He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
I wish you comfort and peace at this time. Please pass my condolences to all family members.
May God grant the soul of Douglas Mackenzie Youngson eternal rest.
