I'm so sad to hear about Dave's passing. My deepest sympathies to his entire family during this difficult time. There are few people out there as passionate about the job or about the people that work beside them as Dave was. The Military light just went a little dimmer with the loss of David. It sadden me that we have lost another good guy from our lives. I worked for and with Dave as a Pte, a Cpl, a Mcpl, and as a Sgt before he moved back to Kingston. He spent the better part of 12 years mentoring me, always helping me see things differently, inspiring me, and challenging me to do, and be, better. No matter the situation he always turned everything into a teachable moment to help those around him grow. It's hard to put into words the impact he has had on me throughout my career - the excitement in his voice when sharing experiences, showing true happiness in sharing successes, the inflection in his voice when talking to you about picking yourself up and dusting yourself off.
