LUKER, William Robert "Bill"
Retired in 2002, following a rewarding career with the Ministry of Community and Social Service and later on as Administrator of St. Lawrence Lodge in Brockville
Unexpectedly at Kingston General Hospital, on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in his 71st year. Bill Luker, beloved husband of Marg (nee Irvine) for 48 years. Loving father of Keri Laframboise (John) of Kingston and Christie Gage (Matt) of Cambridge. Devoted grandfather of Jacob, Alexander and Sarah Laframboise; Nathan and Madeline Gage. Survived by his sister Linda Luker of Oakville, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew. In accordance with Bill's wishes, cremation at James Reid Crematorium has taken place. The family will receive friends at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston, on Wednesday, March 2 between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm., and on Thursday, March 3 from 12:30 pm until 1:20 pm. A memorial service will follow in the Chapel at 1:30 pm. The Reverend Richard "Dick" Fleming officiating. A reception will follow in the Reception Centre. Inurnment at Lakeport Cemetery (near Colborne, ON) at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to U.H.K.F. (KGH Cardiac Science Unit), or Partners in Mission Food Bank, in Mr. Luker's memory. Flowers gratefully declined.
