Obituary of Carl James William ALBERTSON

ALBERTSON, Carl William James (Jim) - Retired, VIA Rail employee of 38 years - Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at the age of 83. Jim, beloved husband of 53 years to Marilyn (Dillon). Dear father of Laurie Walsh (David) and Linda McCullough (the late Don Blair). Proud grandfather of Kaitlin and Ryan Walsh and Dylan McCullough. Loving brother of Lorne (Mary), Gary (Irene), Paul (Susan), Muriel Long (the late George), and Edith Minaker (the late Rollie) and was predeceased by his sisters Jean See and Norma Lowry. Jim will be dearly missed by the Dillon family; Paul (Mary), Mary Dillon, Barbara Dillon, Sharon Young (Doug), David (Bonnie), Irene Johnston (Ken), Joe (Brenda), Ed Dillon and Peter (Maryann). Jim will also be missed by his many nieces, and nephews and by Darrell McCullough. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses on Davies 3 and Kidd 9 and to the PD Nurses of Saint Elizabeth s for their compassionate care of Jim. Cremation has taken place at the James Reid Crematorium. Jim 's family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 1-1:45pm, followed by a service celebrating his life in the chapel at 2:00pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Jim 's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Kidney Foundation.
