Obituary of John Robert IMRIE

It is with great sadness that the family of John Robert Imrie announces his passing suddenly on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the age of 78. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Nancy, and by his children Jim (Joyce) and Ken (Laura). John will also be remembered by his sisters Lorna (George), Lillian (Harry), Joan, and Linda (Bob), his grandchildren Sara (David), Laura and Tyler and his great-granddaughter Claire (Sarah). John was predeceased by his brother Ronnie. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. John served 28 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, the most memorable with the First Guards (1957-1968), and finished his working career with 12 years at Corrections Canada. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. He enjoyed the last 15 years travelling with his loving wife Nancy throughout Canada, the US and Europe. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
