SHILLINGTON, Cameron Nelson - May 17, 1946 - January 12, 201 6- It is with sadness that the family said good-bye to Cam on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at St Mary's of the Lake Hospital at the age of 69. At the same time they rejoice that he is pain free and with his Heavenly Father. Beloved husband to Gail (Gardiner) for 40 years. Loving father to Dana Villeneuve (Andrew), Brooke Horne (Roger) and Brock Shillington. Cherished grandfather to Wyatt Horne, Seylah Horne, Braylon Villeneuve & Emmett Villeneuve. Cameron was predeceased by his parents Rev. Floyd & Daphne Shillington. Cameron had a heart for missions and worked for ministries including Billy Graham Association, Steve Wingfield Evangelistic Association, Teen Mania/Aquire The Fire, and Promise Keepers. He also had a passion for music including many years traveling with his own Gospel music group The Master's, he promoted countless Gospel music concerts in Kingston and the surrounding area. Cameron started his broadcasting career working weekends as a young man at CKWS TV. He quickly advanced to audio production and then A.M. Sales and continued onto Sales Manager of CFMK/CFFX radio before he was promoted to Operation Manager of CFMK/CFFX radio. Most recently he saw his lifelong dream come true, his own digital radio station eaglefm.ca, which the family will continue in his honour. Family and friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston) on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9pm and also on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Polson Park Free Methodist Church (5 Miles Ave, Kingston) from 10:00am until service time at 11:00am. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall at the church. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
