Obituary of Barbara Anne MACFARLANE

Peacefully at home and surrounded by her loving family, Barbara Anne MacFarlane passed on Sunday January 10th, 2016 after courageously battling cancer. Barb was truly a kind and loving soul, who cared selflessly for everyone around her. Even during illness, her caring nature was always on display, and she will be deeply missed by all the lives she has touched. Barb will be missed by her son Bill; daughter Stephanie; granddaughter Janet; sisters Liz and Brenda and brothers Bill and Rob. She was predeceased by her husband Chris and parents William Holland and Dorothy (Nicholson). Family and friends will be received at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd. on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in Barb's memory to Cancer Centre of South Eastern Ontario (U.H.K.F.)would be appreciated by the family.
