Obituary of Ruth SHILLINGTON

SHILLINGTON, Ruth Myles Brewer Feb. 24, l9l9 - Dec. 31, 2015 The passing of Ruth Shillington occurred on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 (just prior her 97th birthday) at Kingston, Ontario. Mother was a resident of Extendicare, Kingston for a number of yrs. prior her passing. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Basil in 2003. She and Basil lived around the Ottawa-Kingston area for a number of years, and prior owned their farm in Perth, Ontario. Mother grew up in Fredericton, N.B, the daughter of Gordon and Catherine (Myles) Brewer and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Predeceased by parents, sisters Ann and Florence, brothers Roderick, Ray and Gordon. She was the much loved Mother of Charles (Donna) Brewer of Fredericton, Nan to Anthony Mark (Alexandra) of Dartmouth, N.S. Mother is also survived by son Harry (Sue) Kitchen of Newark, Delaware and their children of Ontario. Also surviving are son Rick (Yvonne) Kitchen and their children and great grandchildren of Ontario. Mother also leaves to mourn her three special nieces Betty Ann, Gail and Linda. Special thanks to the staff and hairdresser at Extendicare. Also to her special friends Jim and Linda Link. Mother enjoyed a great game of crib, travels to Florida and Fredericton, her flowers and animals. James Reid Funeral Home, Kingston, Ontario are in charge of arrangements. No flowers or visitation. Commital Service at a later date to be held in Picadilly Cemetery in Harrowsmith, Ontario.
